Kitulo National Park

Known as the “Serengeti of Flowers,” Kitulo National Park is a botanical paradise located in southern Tanzania. It covers an area of approximately 413 square kilometers (159 square miles) on the Kitulo Plateau, part of the Kipengere and Livingstone mountain ranges. The park is famous for its diverse alpine grasslands, wildflowers, and rare plant species, making it a must-visit for botanists and nature lovers.

Dry and Wet Seasons

Dry Season (June to October): The dry season brings mild weather, making it ideal for hiking. However, wildflower blooms are less vibrant, and the scenery is drier, with more subdued colors across the grasslands.
Wet Season (November to May): The wet season is the best time to visit for flower enthusiasts, as the meadows burst into colorful blooms with wild orchids, lilies, and daisies covering the landscape. Birdwatching is also at its peak, with migratory birds arriving to join the resident species.
