Welcome to Lake Zone Climbers & Safaris, your trusted partner for safaris and adventure travel in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (the traveler) and Lake Zone Climbers & Safaris. By booking a safari or tour with us, you agree to the terms below.
Booking & Confirmation

All safari bookings are subject to availability at the time of request.

A booking is confirmed once we receive a written confirmation and the required deposit.

Lake Zone Climbers & Safaris reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if necessary.
Deposits & Payments

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your safari.

Full payment is typically due 45–60 days before arrival.

For last-minute bookings, full payment may be required immediately.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or other approved methods.
-
Failure to complete payment on time may result in cancellation.
Cancellations & Refund Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
Standard cancellation fees:

60+ days before travel → Deposit retained

30–59 days → 50% of total cost
-
15–29 days → 75% of total cost
-
<15 days → 100% of total cost
Important:

Gorilla permits, flights, and certain luxury lodges are strictly non-refundable.

Refunds depend on supplier policies beyond our control.
Changes by the Traveler

Any requested itinerary changes after confirmation may incur fees.

Changes by Lake Zone Climbers & Safaris
While we strive to operate all safaris as planned, we may adjust itineraries due to:

Safety concerns

Lodge or flight availability
We will always offer suitable alternatives of similar value.
Travel Insurance (Highly Recommended)
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for African safaris, covering:

Medical emergencies

Trip cancellation/interruption

Delays

Loss of baggage

Emergency evacuation
Lake Zone Climbers & Safaris is not responsible for losses that insurance could cover.
Passports, Visas & Vaccinations
Travelers are responsible for:

Valid passports (minimum 6 months validity)

Required visas

Vaccinations (e.g., Yellow Fever where applicable)
We provide guidance, but final responsibility lies with the traveler.
Health & Medical Conditions
Guests must inform us in advance of:

This allows us to plan a safe and comfortable safari experience.
Liability Disclaimer
Lake Zone climbers & Safaris acts as a tour operator and booking agent for lodges, airlines, and activity providers.
We are not liable for:

Injury, loss, or damage

Flight delays or cancellations

Weather or natural events

Political situations or force majeure

Supplier failures beyond our control
Participation in safari activities is at your own risk.

We reserve the right to remove any guest behaving dangerously or disrespectfully without refund.
Pricing & Surcharges
Safari prices may change due to:

Government tax increases

Park fee changes

Currency fluctuations
Confirmed bookings are protected except for mandatory government changes.
Complaints & Claims
If an issue arises:

Inform your guide or our office immediately

We will try to resolve it on the spot

Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days
Acceptance of Terms
Payment of a deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
