ZANZIBAR

Zanzibar is an archipelago off the coast of Tanzania, consisting of several islands, the largest of which are Unguja and Pemba. It's known for its stunning beaches, rich history, and vibrant culture. Zanzibar has a long history of trade, particularly in spices like cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon, which were once highly sought after in the region. The architecture in Stone Town, the historic center of Zanzibar City, reflects its diverse influences, including Arab, Persian, Indian, and European styles. Tourism is a major industry, with visitors drawn to Zanzibar for its beautiful beaches, coral reefs for diving and snorkeling, and cultural experiences. The island also has a fascinating history, including its role in the slave trade and as a center of Swahili culture.
