Overview

This 8-day safari adventure offers a thrilling journey through Tanzania's iconic wildlife destinations, providing an unforgettable experience of the Great Migration. Starting from Arusha, you’ll explore the diverse ecosystems of Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and towering baobab trees. Then, you'll venture to the Ngorongoro Crater, home to the Big Five and a vast array of wildlife within its unique caldera.

From Ngorongoro, you'll head into the Serengeti National Park, where the expansive savannahs come alive with herds of wildebeest, zebras, and their predators. You’ll spend time in both Central and Northern Serengeti (Kogatende), with an opportunity to witness the breathtaking spectacle of the Great Migration, including river crossings at the Mara River.

The safari is designed to offer immersive game drives, luxurious accommodations, and seamless travel, including a scenic flight from the Northern Serengeti back to Arusha. It promises a perfect blend of wildlife action, stunning landscapes, and cultural experiences.

Itinerary

​

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

​

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide. After a short briefing, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park. The park is renowned for its massive elephant herds, unique baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which draws diverse wildlife during the dry season. Enjoy an afternoon game drive as you take in the spectacular views and spot animals such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. In the evening, settle into your lodge in or near the park.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

​

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and embark on a morning game drive in Tarangire. In the late morning, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping along the way to admire the dramatic scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest unbroken calderas and home to an abundance of wildlife. Your lodge, perched on the crater rim, offers panoramic vistas of the landscape below.

Day 3: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

​

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for a full day of wildlife viewing. The crater's rich ecosystem supports a wide range of species, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard). You'll likely see hippos wallowing in the lakes, flamingos lining the shores, and hyenas roaming the plains. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue exploring this unique wildlife haven before heading back to your lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Central Serengeti

​

After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. On the way, visit a traditional Maasai village (optional) to learn about the fascinating culture of one of Tanzania’s most iconic tribes. Upon arrival in the Central Serengeti, you'll embark on an afternoon game drive through the rolling savannahs, where wildlife is abundant year-round. Look out for cheetahs sprinting across the plains, large prides of lions basking in the sun, and herds of elephants.

Day 5: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

​

Start your day with a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, where you can spot giraffes, gazelles, and predators in their natural habitat. Afterward, head north to the Kogatende region, in the Northern Serengeti, known for its spectacular river crossings during the Great Migration. The landscapes here are more rugged, and the Mara River serves as a critical crossing point for wildebeest and zebras as they move between Tanzania and Kenya. This area is also teeming with predators such as lions and crocodiles.

Day 6: Full Day in Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

​

Spend the entire day exploring the Northern Serengeti, where you'll have the chance to witness the dramatic Mara River crossings. Watch as thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the dangerous waters, often pursued by massive Nile crocodiles. The surrounding areas are also rich in wildlife, including lions, leopards, and elephants. This region offers excellent opportunities for photography and to witness the raw beauty of nature in action.

Day 7: Half Day in Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

​

Enjoy a relaxed half-day game drive in the Northern Serengeti. Spend the morning exploring the rolling hills and woodlands in search of animals such as giraffes, hyenas, and birds of prey. Take in the serene beauty of the landscape, with its vast plains and scattered acacia trees. After lunch, you will head to the Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge for a final night in Tanzania.

Day 8: Departure

​

After breakfast at your lodge, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home or onward travel. If time permits, explore Arusha’s vibrant markets or visit cultural sites before your flight.

  • Clothing: Light, breathable clothing for the day; warm layers for early mornings and evenings

  • Accessories: Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a camera with extra batteries

  • Documents: Passport, visa, travel insurance, and any required permits

Deposit Payment
  • Deposit is 20% of the total booking amount.

  • Deposit can be paid either via a bank transfer or an online card payment.

  • A 5% fee is applicable on all card payments (payment gateway charges), this is non-refundable.

  • We offer bank accounts in 10 different currencies for bank transfer.

  • Once you make the advance payment you will receive a booking confirmation.

Balance Payment
  • Balance can be paid via bank transfer, online card payment, or with cash.

  • Bank payment can be done 15 days prior to the tour date (recommended 30 days prior).

  • Card Payment can be done 1 day prior to the tour date (recommended 7 days prior).

  • A 5% fee is applicable on all card payments (payment gateway charge), this is non-refundable.

  • Cash can be paid on arrival (USD printed in or after the year 2009).

Cancellation Policy​

8 days and above departure
  • No cancellation fees.

​

0 to 7 days before departure
  • 50% of the total tour price will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • Trek can be postponed to any new date without any extra cost at any point in time.

  • The 5% surcharge paid for either or both advance and balance payments is non-refundable in case of cancellation of the trek.

Supplements

  • Solo Supplement = USD 30
    Charged for solo trekkers throughout the year.

  • Off-season supplement = USD 90
    Charged for solo trekkers looking to start a new departure in March, April, May, and November. Does not apply if you join an existing group. Does not apply if other trekkers also join your new group.
